CONFERENCE PRESENTATIONS

Jamie Smith Levitan presented, “Adaptive Coaching for Instructional Leaders: Improving Literacy Across Content Areas” at the annual CEC conference in San Antonio, Texas on March 15, 2024. This poster introduced attendees to the AIM Coaching and PACT Plus, including the available online modules and resources. It also reviewed a case study of AIM coaching and PACT Plus.

In this presentation, we review a set of schoolwide literacy practices adopted by middle school teachers. Principal LeeAnn McGraw shares her experiences in launching a schoolwide literacy model facilitated by AIM Coaching.

This poster presents, Instructional coaching is an effective method of professional development that faces multiple barriers at the middle school level. This survey study reports findings from middle school teachers and instructional coaches who reflect on their current job and report on what they need to promote literacy practices across all subject areas.
