We differentiate for students—Why not for teachers?

After professional development, teachers return to their classroom to implement new instructional practices. Some teachers are highly successful and need minimal support. Other teachers need more support. To get the support they need, some teachers are willing to work with instructional coaches and others are not.

AIM Coaching is an adaptive intervention model (AIM) that coaches can use to provide teachers with differentiated support. AIM Coaching provides coaches a way to prioritize their effort based on easy-to-collect screening data. Then, supports are individualized to meet teacher need.

AIM Coaching was developed by a team of researchers, instructional coaches, and middle school teachers, all dedicated to bridging educational research and practice to improve literacy outcomes for all middle school students.
